2031 Selena Siler (Carolina Magic)
Siler was impressive throughout her games on Day 1 at the Winter Nationals, consistently strong in her attack and offensive ability. Siler did a great job in flourishing not only as a playmaker with the ball in her hands, but as a true scoring weapon from multiple levels. She has confidence from outside, displaying a deep range, but also was effective in so many ways offensively on the court.
2030 Heavenly Craig (Foothills)
There is no doubt that Craig is one of the more impressive young guards you should be tracking in the area. She continues to flourish with her feel as a young guard. She showcases a strong handle, a smooth shot, the ability to easily create and be a playmaker for herself and others, and always plays at a high motor. Impressive young prospect to watch for more.
2029 Sylva Okauru (St. Christopher)
Okauru is one that we highlighted this season, and we have a feeling that you are going to be hearing his name a lot more for the Class of 2029 here in North Carolina. Okauru is one that understands how to be a big man at a young age, earning his spot down in the post, scoring with touch and finding ways to operate around bigs, finishing at the rim, and also showing terrific hands on the glass. That doesn’t even mention his presence on the defensive side of the ball.
2028 Nyshawn Hughes (Carolina Culture)
Hughes came to play today when we watched him, as he clearly looks bigger and stronger than he did last summer. Hughes was assertive with his attack, using his size well out in transition. He was able to be a good overall presence in a variety of areas, displaying versatility, scoring impact, rebounding presence, and defending multiple positions throughout. Hughes found a ton of ways to make his presence felt on Day 1.
2030 Brody Johnson (Durham Hurricanes)
Johnson was impressive at the Phenom Middle School Camp and he continues to flourish at the event, as he is a young prospect that I would monitor as he develops. If you are looking for a prospect that plays with full energy, Johnson would be that guy, as he works his tail off, plays with a strong motor, and uses that to his advantage offensively, whether it is finishing through defenders and out in transition.
2033 Carson Greers (Baby Shaq Elite)
One of the younger prospects that earned my attention, Greers was one who gives you flashes of potential of being a strong guard down the road. He plays with confidence and poise, reading the floor, finding his teammates, and being a multi-level scorer inside and out. Time after time, he was able to create off the bounce, as I’m eager to see how he develops his game down the road.
