2031 Chase Neeley (Young and Motivated)
Neeley is a familiar face on the Phenom Hoops landscape, and we were eager to see him back on the court to start the season. Neeley has a lot to like about his game at a young age, bringing tremendous length and swagger with his game. He excels as a multi-level scorer, being comfortable off the bounce, finishing around defenders, and displaying strong range with his game. But he also excels as a true playmaker on the court for his team.
2030 Jeremiah Williams (Next Level)
Williams is an intriguing young prospect to keep an eye on as he develops his overall game. But in terms of upside, there is a lot to like about what he is able to provide. He presents trouble with his length and athleticism, making plays in a variety of ways, impacting the game both offensively and defensively, and flourishing with his ability to get downhill.
2030 Addie Kivett (FBC Drive White)
Kivett’s overall impact and energy could be seen throughout the early morning. She excelled in playing off the ball and getting to her spots, scoring off the bounce as well as knocking down shots from outside. Her overall motor and impact could be felt in so many ways on both sides, being a difference-maker for her team throughout. I really liked her overall energy on the court throughout.
2030 Malia Mehling (Carolina Fear)
Mehling was another young guard who captured my attention with her IQ, feel, and understanding of the game. She plays with tremendous overall composure, scoring off the bounce, controlling the tempo and game, making good overall decisions, and also displaying confident range from outside at times.
2032 Xaviar James (1of1)
Talk about a young talent that is on the rise… after his MVP performance at the camp, James backed it up with an offensive showing that had all the scouts talking. James has such a feel for the game at a young age, something you don’t usually see with a player his age. His impact can be felt all over, whether it is creating and scoring, attacking downhill, finishing, knocking down shots, rebounding, or bringing a ton of versatility to the floor. A star in the making here in North Carolina.
2033 Zeke Cournoyer (Durham Hurricanes)
I was highly impressed with his composure and feel for the game at such a young age. Cournoyer does a great job in being a playmaker on the floor, scoring off the bounce, weaving through the defense, reading the defense, and getting to the basket, but also showing confidence from the perimeter. But, he just wasn’t a scorer on the court, as he made great reads in finding his teammates and was also active defensively.
2031 Riley Hill (Cap City Clutch)
Hill was a new prospect who quickly grabbed my attention. When talking about energy and outworking opponents, that is exactly what he brought to the floor for his team. A versatile piece that has size at 6’1, can operate inside and out, uses his length to his advantage, and was relentless in attacking the glass and scoring the ball around the basket. He looks to be an impact player down the road that you will want to jot down and watch, especially with what he provides in so many areas.
