2028 AJ Morman (Garner Road)
Morman is one that we have highlighted on several occasions, and it was great to see this young guard back in action at the Seros Open. It was clear that Morman has a chance to be something special in the coming years and will be one of the top guards in the state. Even at his size at a young age (still plenty of time to grow and get stronger), he was electric with the ball in his hands, displaying speed, creativity, and playmaking ability. Morman shows a confident offensive presence, being able to attack off the dribble, blowing by defenders, and being effective in transition. But I also loved his competitive nature on the defensive end. He will be a name you hear a lot in the coming years.
2028 Brelyn Moses (Team Loaded South)
Moses is what he is on the court; he continues to be a force with his frame and size early on, he excels in attacking downhill and getting to the rim, embraces contact and finishes strong, and is showing that he is continuing to work on adding more to his overall game. Moses just plays with a force and physicality that you don’t see in many prospects at a young age, and he certainly caught the eyes with a few tough finishes at the rim. He has had a strong early start to his high school and travel ball careers, and I’m eager to see how he continues to develop.
2028 Kadin Pierce-Flores (MBJ)
Pierce-Flores was a new name for me but when watching him, I liked what I saw, especially with how dynamic he can be as a guard. He was one of the quickest guards I saw at the event, being strong and effective out in transition, getting the ball in his hands and attacking with his speed. Time after time, he was able to get to the basket and score around defenders, showcasing shiftiness and making smart decisions as well. He will be a name that I will continue to monitor as he really flashed with his play throughout the event.
