2029 Carter Motley (AWigg Elite)
Motley continues to shine as a premier prospect in the Class of 2029. His early combination of feel, pace, vision, creativity, and overall IQ in running the show is quite impressive. Motley plays with a distinct feel, methodically maneuvering through the defense, looking to create and facilitate, or find ways to finish well in attacking the basket or knocking down shots. His overall blend and composure make him such an intriguing guard coming up here in North Carolina that D1 coaches are going to want to watch him down the road.
2028 Zachary Rogers (Team Crews)
Rogers started off the day with a strong performance when watching him. Bringing good overall size and strength at his position, he was able to use that well with his ability to get inside, finish through or around defenders, and also show other factors in his game that make him an intriguing talent to keep an eye on. His physical presence around the basket couldn’t be stopped when watching him, as he was incredibly productive on the court.
2028 Draeton Nance (Team Pittman)
Nance was big for his team, especially in the second half for his team. A point guard who continues to thrive, plays with a chip on his shoulder, and continues to lead his team on the court. Nance thrives as a playmaker and creator for his team, running the show well. However, when he needs to step up as an offensive scorer, he can thrive as a shotmaker and strong finisher. In the second half, he finished with multiple threes to complete his comeback, thriving in big situations.
2028 Carter Williams (TGS)
Williams, who is a 6’5 prospect, was able to play with a lot of energy and help impact the game in a variety of ways on the court. With his explosiveness on the court, he was able to bring a strong presence as a scorer and overall activity on the glass, creating extra opportunities and being a constant presence around the basket. But Williams was able to bring value in his ability to step out as well, along with a good presence defensively.
2027 Owen Hancock (Dub Salem)
Dub Salem has been a hot topic throughout the summer, and even on a slower weekend, they are able to make noise with their overall play. Hancock is an absolute game-changer on the court, as he opens up so many things for his teammates. Throughout the event, he was able to demonstrate just how dangerous he can be with his shot-making ability, hitting over 15 3-pointers in just two games. He displays confidence and a deep range from behind the arc, as he can change the game when he gets going from behind the arc.
2030 Daylen Medley (Raiders)
Medley was a guard who grabbed my attention with his ability to create for himself. He did a great job in keeping the defenders guessing on his next move, showcasing shifty handles, an excellent change of direction, and terrific speed to either attack off the bounce or create space to hit tough shots. He was one of the clear go-to options who was able to be a true playmaker on the court in leading his team.
2030 Nashon Staley (Cota Elite)
Staley was another young prospect who deserved attention throughout the event. He has tremendous positional size and plays with toughness overall, bringing a little bit of an old-school feel. He was strong with the ball in his hands in leading the charge, looking to be a playmaker for himself in getting defenders on his hip, attacking well off the bounce, getting paint touches, and finding ways to finish or finding other teammates. Really liked his overall feel in being able to create and attack throughout the event.
2028 Joel Doe (Team United Day)
Doe is a dynamic guard who shines with the ball in his hands, showcasing impressive creation ability and scoring polish. Quick and shifty off the bounce, he is comfortable attacking from multiple levels while also showing the vision to make plays for others. His confidence as a primary option, along with his ability to defend and impact the game in several ways, makes him a strong all-around piece on the court.
2034 Abe Ellis (TLBA)
Ellis continues to trend in the right direction as a young prospect with a promising skill set. He plays with strong activity and energy, consistently creating extra opportunities while making his presence felt all over the court. Ellis also continues to impress with his shooting range and confidence from beyond the arc, giving him intriguing upside as he develops. He looks like a player who will continue to expand his game and become an even bigger factor as he gains more experience.
