Umar Lawson

2022 Caden Fitzgibbons (NC Spartans Hartzell): Fitzgibbons continues to have a tremendous weekend, really filling up the boxscore, moving well without the ball, creating for himself, and simply putting points on the board.  His production has been consistent all throughout the weekend and should be one to really monitor throughout this summer.

2022 Jevon Long (Next Level SC): Long showcased his ability to be a threat from the outside; if you are going to leave him open, he is going to try and make you pay with his ability to knock down the long ball. He showed that on multiple occasions to start Day 3.

2021 Joseph Ferrante (Team Griggs): The strong built forward continues to produce but that isn’t anything unusual. Ferrante is such a terrific kid both on and off the court and it is clear that this young man has the talent to perform on the floor. It was great to see him again and he continues to play so well. Nothing seems to be forced and he plays hard and through contact. Ferrante’s ability to step out as well should only make him even more intriguing to coaches.

2023 Patrick Tivnan (Team HOPE): He is a big young prospect that one could only think should start gaining the attention of coaches. He did a nice in protecting the basket and moves really well for his size on both ends and in transition.  He is capable of stepping out with his mid-range shot and is like a rock down low in the post.

2022 Umar Lawson (Anthony Morrow): Lawson is probably one of the better downhill guards at the event.  Every time he had the ball in his hands, he is able to make decisive, downhill moves to get by defenders and finish strong at the rim. It was tough for opponents to stay in front of him.

2022 Khouri Carvey (Team Trezz Loftin): A new name to me but was quite impressive with his skillset for his 6’9 frame. The big man moves very well on both ends, carves out space down low in the post, but also showed that he can step out and knock down shots from outside.  He also does a really good job on the glass.

2025 Eli Ellis (Big Shots 2022 Ellis): Sometimes you have to sit back and be amazed in seeing what a young player like him is able to do on the court. He has such a terrific feel and handles on how he wants to attack and he constantly is putting in the work.  Incredibly crafty with the ball in his hands, creating shots for himself and filling up the stat sheet.

2021 Jameel Brooks (Big Shots Ellis): Brooks finished Day 3 very strong, as the big man showcased his power and strength at the rim, finishing well and being active while also showing that he can step out and stretch the floor a little from three.

2022 Knoah Carver (Full Court): Carver is an underrated guard in North Carolina but continues to be productive and showing that he is capable of creating for himself, finding ways to score from all levels, and can do it on a consistent basis. Another strong showing once again.
