2025 Bryce Slay (Charlotte Royals Orange): The young man really stepped up for his team when they needed him, as he was absolutely feeling it from the perimeter especially in the second half. Slay is an intriguing prospect at his size; at 6’5, he really shows that he can be a big threat in getting to the corners, stretching the defense, and being a huge threat from the perimeter. On the day, he hit seven 3-pointers to bring his team back and secure a hard-fought win.
2024 Christian Foy (Mint Hill Lakers): Foy is a player that goes a bit under the radar but you have to like what he provides on the court. A sturdy-body forward, Foy does what is needed form him and brings versatility at the forward position. With his mobility and ability to feel comfortable in stepping out, Foy can really take advantage of the mismatch but also be a strong force around the paint area.
2025 Kaleb Evans (Palmetto City Hurricanes): Evans was a name that we came upon this summer and it was good to see him back in action, as this is a rising guard to really watch out for in South Carolina. Really enjoy watching him operate, especially as the lengthy guard does a great job in showing his shiftiness and ability to get his defender guessing with his ball-handling. Evans does a great job in creating and getting paint touches, as he put his game on display on Day 4.
2025 Jalyn Connor (Team Charlotte): Connor is one that I think will only continue to rise up the ranks in the class of 2025 in North Carolina, as he has only continued to get stronger and showcase more of what he is capable of bringing to the table. Connor continues to be a huge threat from the perimeter, but over the months, he is showing that he has only continued to add more levels to his game while still playing with that tough mentality and with something to prove.
2024 Jordan Vick (Team Trezz): Coming it, Vick was a known name and after a solid Day 1, he was really good on Day 2 for his team. Vick continues to show how much of a dynamic scorer he can be, as he is strong and dynamic out in transition and forces defenders to foul him or he finishes, but also pulling up off the dribble. There isn’t a shot that he doesn’t like and he won’t take, as he continues to show how dynamic of a guard he is in North Carolina.
