2028 Tjay Brunson (1of1 Elite)
Brunson has had a big year and that looks to be carrying into the spring/summer early on from what we have seen. What excites you about Brunson is the growth he has shown, but also “what could he be” down the road, as his blend of skillset and athleticism along with potential, should have the attention of many. Brunson has the size and athleticism that pop, constantly attacking downhill off the bounce and getting to the rim with ease. Brunson also impacts the game in a variety of ways, guarding multiple positions, being able to make an impact on the glass, excels in transition, and plays with a strong motor. And as he continues to develop his jumper to make him an even bigger impact player from multiple levels, Brunson should be a hot target for many schools.
2028 Kaleb Allen (Carolina Premier)
I talked about Allen extensively as of late, as I was highly impressed with his game and I do believe he will be in the discussion for the top spot in South Carolina. Allen is a 6’6 guard who possesses a fluid overall feel and shines with his ability to be a multi-level scorer. He can confidently attack the defense and score off the bounce, excelling well with his size and athleticism. But again, he is comfortable from a variety of levels, whether it is getting to the rim, attacking off the bounce for his mid-range game, or playing off the ball to knock down shots from outside. He excels as a creator for himself, fights through defenders, and can overpower opponents on the glass in creating extra opportunities. And he can play either the two or three spot, while also displaying the ability to guard multiple positions defensively.
2028 Thomas Bowes (SW15H Elite)
If you are looking for a prospect that I believe will pop up on more D1 radars and has seen an early uptick in his stock, 2028 6’7 Thomas Bowes would be a player to keep your eyes on. He is a legit 6’7 prospect that can be effective from several positions. He can lead an offense well in showing his ability to be a big guard who can handle. Bowes also mixes it up well with his scoring ability, using his size well to attack or playing off the ball in catch-and-shoot situations to be a perimeter threat. He offers a lot to the table, and his stock should be rising.
2028 Jermier Nelson (CP3)
From the end of high school season to where we sit today, Nelson has seen a steady uptick in his recruitment and deservingly so. We have talked about Nelson for quite some time as a point to watch more, and programs are catching on early. He had a big season in which he averaged 20 points per game and carried that over into the spring/summer, showcasing his ability to create for himself and others. He plays with poise and confidence, is strong off the bounce, can score inside and out, and also plays off the ball to knock down shots. He dictates the action really well as a lead guard, displaying pace and vision but also balances that out as a scorer.
2028 Micah Gunter (Team United)
Gunter is regarded as one of the top guards in the state but we are looking more on a national scale regarding Gunter’s game. The 6’3 prospect has not only proven to be a leader for Greensboro Day but he is proving that early on the EYBL stage as well. He can be a lethal scorer as a creator and shot-maker from all levels, but he also is a playmaker for others, bringing a tremendous balance as a leader. Gunter is proving that he should be regarded more as a national prospect, and after this past season and Week 1 at Nike EYBL, Gunter will be trending in a big way this summer. He already holds multiple offers but that should drastically increase this summer quickly.
