2027 6’6 Josh Leonard (Wilson)
Coming into yet another Top 80 down in South Carolina, 2027 Josh Leonard proved once again why he is the top prospect in the state overall and nationally ranked by so many. The true blend of size, physicality, skillset, understanding, and feel for the game is quite impressive but he has been showing that consistently over the years. And what makes him scarier is that there is still untapped potential in what he could ultimately be in the end. He can score inside, he can operate from the perimeter, he creates well out in transition, and is nearly unstoppable when getting downhill. Leonard continues his dominance against the best, and stays on top down in South Carolina.
2025 6’4 Jordan Watford (Lancaster)
Every time I watch Watford, there is something about his game that grabs my attention and I continue to believe that Queens got an absolute steal with him. He checks off so many boxes overall with his game; scoring and ability to create, excellent getting downhill and scoring around defenders, versatility both offensively and defensively, leadership and being vocal, and his willingness to fill up the stat sheet for his team. And as he continues to put work in his game and expand his game, Watford should continue to show how pivotal he is on th court.
2025 6’5 Tristan Thompson (Wilson)
Thompson was another prospect we have had over the years and has consistently gotten the job done from multiple levels on the court. And after going a bit under the radar, he is now committed to Coastal Carolina and they hope for him to be a key piece for the future. Thompson simply finds ways to be effective from various positions, understanding how to operate inside, get to his spots, knock down shots from outside, and create for himself while also making high-IQ plays for others. He consistently finds ways to produce and looks to be in for a big senior season.
2025 6’2 Amare Anderson (Greer)
Anderson is another guard that I’ve enjoyed watching over the years and think he has a bright future. Every time we see him, he is a young man that gives it all on the court and makes his presence well known on the court. Offensively or defensively, Anderson finds ways to make an impact and plays with such energy. Offensively, he shows that he can be a strong creator for himself, attacking downhill, creating space for himself, and showing big-time athleticism at the rim. Defensively, he continues to be one of the best defenders in the state and creates so much havoc with his on-ball presence.
2026 6’5 Broderick Anderson (Keenan)
Anderson had a very good overall camp, as he opened a few more eyes in what he can provide as well as his development. When watching him in action, Anderson looked more assertive and aggressive with his game but also picked his spots well. He has good size at 6’5 and used that well to his advantage, scoring inside, making plays off the bounce, and getting to the rim. But also was just as productive in being a perimeter threat, knocking down catch-and-shoot threes and showing his range. Anderson really was able to flourish offensively throughout the camp, and certainly earned his name on this list.
2026 6’4 Lance Barnes (Legacy Early College)
Lastly, we look at a very explosive guard that came out ready to go early and often, and quickly grabbed our attention with his ability to attack. Barnes is a 6’4 guard who brings really good athleticism and bounce, using that to his advantage in various ways. He was at his best when attacking off the bounce, creating space against defenders, finding ways to get around defenders, and attacking the basket to finish around or at the basket. He also uses that athleticism on the defensive end as well. What I’m eager to see more with Barnes is how he continues to expand his overall offensive game, as there is a lot of potential and that could easily be seen at the camp.
