2028 Jamel McKinley (Team Unleashed)
McKinley is one we have watched before, but it was great to get another view of this intriguing prospect. Standing as a 6’8 prospect, McKinley brings tremendous length and fluidity. When we watched him as a young prospect, he was able to shine with his size as a finisher and paint protector. He can still provide that on the court, as he runs well from rim to rim and can be a presence on both sides of the ball around the basket. But he has also clearly added more comfort in his ability to stretch the court at times. He moves well throughout the floor and still possesses intriguing potential for growth.
2027 Kais Parris (Middleton Elite)
Parris is one that I believe could be a sneaky prospect to watch down in South Carolina; there are a lot of factors in his game that I like, and he displays a polished overall feel for the game. The 6’7 prospect is a skilled wing prospect who is able to play multiple positions, score from a variety of levels with ease, and finds ways to impact the game all around. He confidently can stretch the floor from three, attack off the bounce for his mid-range game, and can get to the rim, really mixing it up but also does a great job in attacking the glass as well. Very intriguing prospect to keep an eye on.
2028 Samarion Glenn (Palmetto City Hurricanes)
Glenn showcased a steady and controlled presence in the backcourt, bringing a strong blend of size and feel to the position. At 6’3, he offers intriguing positional length, using it effectively while attacking in transition and playing with impressive pace. Glenn showed a solid understanding of the game, making the right reads and keeping the offense flowing. His ability to stay composed while impacting the game in multiple ways makes him a young prospect worth tracking moving forward.
2027 Justin Vining (Carolina Pressure)
Vining stood out with his elite quickness and ability to dictate tempo with the ball in his hands. One of the fastest guards in attendance, Vining thrives in the open floor where he can push the pace and put pressure on defenses in transition. He’s not just a one-dimensional guard though, as he showed comfort playing both on and off the ball, making smart decisions and finding ways to stay involved within the offense. His speed, versatility, and ability to impact the game in multiple roles make him a name to keep tabs on in the 2027 class.
