It has been quite a hike for 6’3 Devontae Shuler over the past year, but it was one that he was used to. At Irmo High School Shuler went 24-4 and made it to the state finals, he then transferred to Oak Hill where his team won a National Championship only losing 1 game along the way. You see, Shuler is a winner.

At best, Shuler’s style can be considered as kamikaze. He is all over the place. Defensively, he plays with quickness, strength, and a passion to shut his man down. Offensively, he is explosive and fearless.

After Shuler made his presence known at the 2014 NC Phenom 150 Camp, we wrote, “Perhaps no one took as much advantage of this Phenom Platform as Devontae Shuler. On paper he had a tough day, matching up in each game with kids who have already created national reputations. The common thread through the event is that Devontae came out on top of each of these matchups. Camp Coach Marcus Stevenson stated, “Devontae is a high level basketball player with a great attitude.” Devontae capped off the day with a 33 point outburst with 5 threes, we expect him to start tracking on a national level soon”

Shuler carries offers from South Carolina, Clemson, Ole Miss, NC State, Southern Cal, Oklahoma St and others. He is a consensus Top 100 player, being ranked in the Top 50 by some. But there is no questioning the kid wins everywhere he goes.
