6’2 ’29 Carter Motley (AWigg Elite)
Easily one of the most enticing guard prospects in North Carolina, Motley continues to shine as an absolute maestro with the ball in his hands. He possesses an exceptionally high IQ with sharp vision, excellent playmaking instincts, and smooth scoring polish. Motley clearly sees the game ahead of most players, regardless of age, and it’s evident on both ends of the floor. His pace, decisiveness, and ability to see the floor makes him a real terror when attacking. Motley can make every possible pass and legitimately sees the entire floor at all times, which allows him to put others in scoring positions at a seemingly nonstop rate. In addition to his calm demeanor, creation skills, unwavering poise, and long list of intangibles, Motley is a tough defender and willing rebounder. Already a remarkable talent, he should only continue to emerge as a special player.
6’6 ’27 Mandrake Lewis (TGS Fleming)
Given his ability to consistently impact the game in every possible setting, it’s difficult to ignore everything Lewis brings to a team as a long, explosive, high-motor forward. He’s a strong rebounder and quality interior defender with the toughness and physicality to regularly outwork opponents on both ends of the floor. Lewis is an excellent finisher who plays above the rim and utilizes his quick second/third jumps to battle for extra opportunities on the glass. He consistently rebounds, blocks shots, and defends multiple positions. Lewis visibly contributes to winning basketball on either side of the ball, and should certainly appeal to a variety of college coaches.
6’5 ’27 Drew Neve (Dub Salem)
There might not be a more unselfish, blue-collar player than Neve, who consistently does the dirty work, plays bigger than his size, and battles with terrific energy at all times. He’s a physical defender and rebounder whose motor, positioning, athleticism, and general toughness allow him to constantly outwork opponents. Beyond his rugged nature, he possesses nice inside-out skill as an unselfish offensive threat. Neve shows the ability to finish (both through contact and above the rim), space the floor, or make plays off the bounce. He looks to make the right decision with the ball and is willing to make the extra pass whenever available. Neve also lurks very well on the offensive glass for second-chance opportunities. He certainly remains a priority for various programs.
5’10 ’28 Draeton Nance (Team Pittman)
Unsurprisingly, Nance continues to deliver as a leader and focal point for this group. Between his shot-making and ability to dictate the action, this team is simply at their best when he’s on the floor. Nance is a gamer and true competitor who genuinely knows exactly how and when to strike. He’s a quality creator, both for himself and others, with the ability to set up teammates in scoring positions or mix it up himself from all levels. Nance breaks down opponents, touches the paint, and sees the floor well as a playmaker. However, he’s also capable of finishing, pulling-up off the bounce, or heating up in a hurry from beyond the arc. Add in his scrappy, physical defense and willingness to make hustle plays, and it’s easy to see all the ways Nance shines.
