6’0 ’27 Mikey Williams (Next Level Elite)
Anyone who watched this Next Level Elite squad must appreciate the electricity and leadership that Williams brought throughout the weekend. He’s a crafty, heady guard with the quickness, shot-creation, and scoring polish to relentlessly put pressure on defenses. Williams showed the ability to consistently set up others and apply pressure from all levels. He consistently broke down defenders to touch the paint and make plays with the ball in his hands. Williams is a pesky defender with the energy to overwhelm opposing guards at the point of attack. Expect him to attract college coaches this summer.
6’2 ’27 Ely Phillips (BMSA Raiders Myers)
It was easy to appreciate the approach and mentality of this BMSA Raiders group, and Phillips made a lasting impression with his productive leadership. He’s a tough, physical, well-rounded guard who set the tone on both ends of the floor. Phillips did a little bit of everything offensively, but arguably stood out the most through his scrappy defensive presence and ability to force turnovers leading to fast-break opportunities. He rebounded his position very well and found ways to make plays with or without the ball in his hands.
6’0 ’30 Jay’den Lewis (Upward Stars Midlands)
Though young, there’s already a lot to like about everything Lewis showcased as an overall prospect. He’s a quick, heady, skilled guard with the ability to create for himself and others while mixing it up as a scorer in various ways. Lewis hit jumpers, but was arguably at his best when getting downhill and penetrating. He finishes well around the basket and looks to make the extra pass when available. Lewis also defends his position with great energy.
6’1 ’27 Jordan Wynn (NC Raptors)
Anyone who has watched this NC Raptors squad should already know about the steady identity that Wynn brings to the table. He’s a smart, unselfish, well-rounded guard who does everything at a quality rate. Wynn dictates the offense well to get others involved and pick his spots as a scorer. He makes great decisions with the ball and sees the floor to put others in scoring positions. Wynn is a reliable defender and rebounder for his size/position and knows how to push the break in transition. He has the tools to be a college-level player.
