6’0 ’27 Corey Kinard (Strong Center)
Given the way he dictates the action as the focal point for this group, it’s easy to be impressed by Kinard. He’s a smart, skilled floor general with terrific vision and a sharp playmaking sense. Kinard breaks down opponents, touches the paint at a high volume, and consistently makes quality decisions with the ball in his hands. He mixes it up well as a scorer, showing the ability to finish or knock down jumpers, and stands out through his energy and toughness defensively. It doesn’t take long to notice his impact.
6’3 ’27 Christian Tyndall (SBF)
Despite some ups and downs as a group, Tyndall stood out through his highly consistent, well-rounded production. He possesses a long, wiry frame with the IQ, creation skills, and scoring polish to reliably set the tone for this group. Tyndall is a quality three-level scorer who can create for himself and others and alter his approach based on what the defense is giving him. He’s capable of generating clean looks with relative ease. Tyndall is an active rebounder and utilizes his length effectively on defense.
6’0 ’29 Lane Edwards (Apex Spurs)
There are several intriguing pieces throughout the Apex Spurs roster, and that includes Edwards and his lethal perimeter shooting. He’s a scrappy guard with the ability to initiate the offense or find success as a spot-up threat. Edwards shoots the ball at a high clip off the catch, but can also knock down jumpers off the dribble and attack closeouts as needed. He defends with energy, rebounds well for his size, and knows how to make the extra pass.
5’8 ’28 KJ Whaley (Team Loaded 757)
Although there were multiple key pieces for this squad, Whaley stood out through his reliable identity as a floor general on both ends of the floor. He’s a smart, unselfish point guard who sets up others at a strong rate and picks his spots as a scorer. Whaley utilizes his tight handle and nice pace to break down opponents, touch the paint and convert floaters or put others in scoring positions. He’s also a capable shooter along the perimeter. On the other end, Whaley defends the point of attack very well for his size.
6’3 ’29 Jordan Tucker (Team Loaded 804)
After watching him several times throughout the early travel ball season, it’s clear that Tucker has the makings of a player worth noting. He’s a great athlete with the size, skill, and two-way. Instincts to impact the game in various different ways. Tucker operates as a main creator, both for himself and others, and scorer for this group. Effortlessly gets where he wants off the bounce and consistently makes plays with the ball in his hands. Tucker is capable of overwhelming opponents with his motor and toughness defensively.
