5’9 ’26 Q Williams (Forsyth Country Day)

Although there were several notable performers from the Furies, Q Williams clearly stands out as the leader of the Furies. He’s an incredibly smart, methodical point guard who controls the game with pace and unselfishness. Williams consistently breaks down opponents off the dribble, gets to his spots, and generates clean looks for himself or others. He scores the ball as needed and provides nice efficiency from all levels. Add in his anticipation defensively, and it’s easy to see all the ways Williams impacts the game. He simply knows how to run a winning team.

6’3 ’27 Jordan Powell (Hickory)

Despite suffering a tough loss to a strong opponent, Jordan Powell made a lasting impression with his play. He’s an intriguing prospect with an appealing combination of size, skill, and overall feel for the game. Powell primarily runs the team as the main creator, hunting to set up others while applying downhill pressure whenever possible. He finishes around the basket and knocks down jumpers at a solid rate. Powell is a reliable defender and rebounder for his size/position. Though the transition has already begun, expect Powell to be the focal point for this group over the foreseeable future.

6’5 ’25 Malachi McCutcheon (Corvian Community)

There’s so much about McCutcheon to appreciate. He’s a very skilled, versatile player who can reliably handle the ball, create off the bounce, and score in various ways. McCutcheon applies consistent pressure as a penetrator and scores the ball well from all levels, but also shines as a playmaker—especially for his size. He displays great unselfishness and passing instincts. McCutcheon does a healthy amount of everything on offense while standing out through his active rebounding presence and ability to guard multiple positions defensively. He should be an obvious target for college coaches.

6’11 ’25 Alek Kornacki (Concord Academy)

It’s easy to appreciate the balanced structure of Concord Academy. They understand how to identify and exploit mismatches, and Alek Kornacki certainly took advantage in this contest. Against an opponent lacking size, the strong-bodied big man effectively anchored the paint on both ends of the floor. He finished over his left shoulder, competed for every available rebound, and ran properly in transition. Kornacki keeps it simple and plays to his strengths. He screens, secures deep post position, and regularly alters shots around the basket. Kornacki is someone who should entice several next-level programs.

6’2 ’27 Travien Williams (Hickory Ridge)

Given everything he’s done amidst his breakout sophomore season, no one should be surprised that Travien Williams continues to perform at an extremely high level. He burdens a massive load, particularly on offense, as the leader of this group. Williams dictates the action with a strong blend of IQ, pace, and poise. He applies nonstop downhill pressure and displays a healthy mix of finishes, pull-ups, and passes to set up others. Williams’ general assertiveness and ability to lead a team is just part of what makes him such a valuable piece for the Ragin’ Bulls.
