Dajon’s high IQ, court savvy approach coupled with strong skills and elite athleticism make him
immediately standout. He has a great feel and plays with versatility and unending energy. One of the most complete players in his class in the 757! Dajon is a three level scorer, outstanding in transition or in space changing speeds powerfully and slicing to the rim employing his strong frame and fearless finishing ability. He has a powerful first step, quick and decisive as he attacks in the 1 on 1 and makes his move into the paint where he can stop on a dime and knock down the pull up jumper or beat his man and get to the rim. He is a very good shooter with three point range. Is able to get open often because he is so active off the ball, because he comes to the ball and because he has excellent footwork on the catch and shoot. Really an advanced offensive game with plenty of substance. Dajon uses his strong core and often seeks some peripheral contact when driving to the rim in an effort to get to the line and can use his strength to create space for the jumper. He is capable of playing multiple positions right now but figures to be a combo guard given his capable handle, vision and playmaking skills and his ability to put the ball in the basket from anywhere on the floor. Doesn’t settle and makes good decisions, sees the floor well and is a very good passer, excellent decision maker in transition. The ability to beat defenders with quickness and power allows Dajon to enjoy success in the mid range and keeps defenders honest which opens up shot opportunities beyond the arc. He often creates space because of his ability to attack off the dribble forcing many defenders to concede space but also because he moves so well without the ball. Dajon is a talented defender as well, very good at moving his feet and denying penetration. He will jump into passing lanes for steals which he often turns into easy transition baskets. He will even slide down and rebound the basketball and has the ability to guard multiple positions. Dajon’s skill level both offensively and defensively is really impressive and it’s obvious he has been coached up well and puts in the work. He’s a player you will want to see, one of the best in his class in all areas of the game.
