A guard in North Carolina continues to impress and should be earning more recognition for his play this season. Many have heard of the name Bradlee Haskell from Pinecrest, a talented guard that has continued to produce.
Phenom Hoops caught a game recently in which Pinecrest secured a last-second win on the road vs. Richmond and Haskell was a big part of that. The senior guard plays exceptionally well with the ball in his hands, as he can not only be a scoring guard but a playmaker for others.
When he is scoring, Haskell does a really good job in being a physical guard that can body up and finish around the paint well but also changes directions with his dribble well to get defenders guessing. As far as being a play-maker for others, Haskell is one that simply plays with a tremendous IQ, making smart reads and decisions, while also understanding where his teammates are on the court.
You add that to the leadership and maturity he shows on and off the court, Haskell is a point guard that schools would want to have on their team leading the charge. Already owning a few offers and schools looking to secure one of the top remaining unsigned seniors left in North Carolina, Haskell should be a hot commodity as the season comes to an end.
Phenom Hoops’ Thoughts:
“Per our rankings, Haskell is the top unsigned lead guard available in North Carolina. He’s smart, tough, physical, and understands how to properly run a team on both ends of the floor. Haskell is a great leader, both emotionally and by example, and looks to make the right play whenever possible. He’s a quality downhill penetrator with craftiness and a quick first step, which allows him to enter the paint and finish or make plays for others. Haskell is also a reliable perimeter shooter with toughness and defensive prowess. He should be a coveted asset over the coming months.”
