RJ Felton, a 6’4 prospect part of the 2021 class, impressed Phenom Hoops over the summer playing for Team United. Now, he looks to carry that same momentum into the upcoming high school season at Aiken HS.

Over the last few months, Felton has been catching the eyes of college coaches, earning three offers in the last three months. Here is the latest surrounding Felton’s recruitment.

Latest News:

Felton has been putting in work and showcasing his talent in a few camps as well as college elite camps. He was able to attend college elite camps at North Florida and USC-Upstate, two schools that have offered him.

The staff said that they would continue to be in touch.

Recruitment Update:

Felton holds three offers right now, all of which have come since June. Presbyterian was the first offer, earning that offer after he playing in the team camp in summer league. USC-Upstate offered in July, as Coach Palmore reached out and offered him. North Florida is his third offer, one he received from the head coach back in August after playing at the elite camp.

Felton has also been receiving high interest from Charleston Southern, Mercer, College of Charleston, Western Carolina, and a few others.

Phenom Hoops said:

“Felton is an athletic, physical two-way guard that can fill it up from anywhere on offense, given his ferocity/fearlessness as a penetrator and ability to shoot the ball efficiently from beyond the arc. He creates extremely well for himself, but also sees the floor quite well and is capable of making plays for his teammates. Felton plays with such a unique intensity to his game, which is quite apparent on defense—where he appears to be more bloodthirsty than anyone on the court. He does a great job of leading by example and setting the tone on both ends of the floor.” – Jeff Bendel from Phenom Team Camp Session II in July 2019

“He has a blend of skill, explosion, length, and motor that really produces in a major way. This weekend he shot the ball at a high clip from 3, he created plays off the bounce (for self and others) and he finished with some monster dunks that brought the entire building to its feet!” – Phenom at David Rose Memorial Day Classic in May of 2019
