Michael is already regarded as one of the top players in the state and should be regarded higher by other outlets as a national player.

The 6’6 prospect from The Burlington School is looking to have himself a spectacular junior season and many college coaches will be watching. Already holding 15+ offers from schools around the country, Michael will be taking a few visits coming up and that offer list could continue to grow.

Check out the latest with Michael and his recruitment, as Phenom Hoop Report spoke to him recently.

Scheduling Visits:

Michael will be taking a few upcoming visits in the coming months. One will be an official visit, while also planning on taking two unofficial visits to schools in the ACC.

“I’m taking an official visit to Penn State October 5th, an unofficial visit to Louisville October 12, and an unofficial visit to Clemson November 5th but that one (Clemson) could most likely get changed,” he told Phenom Hoop Report.

He also has plans to visit Radford the weekend of Sept 20. Right now, it seems that Michael is looking to get an early feel for what college will have to offer him at those schools. So, what stands out and what is he hoping to get out of these visits?

“Penn State just really feels like I could really be an impact player for them,” he said. “I’ve been talking to Louisville since the high school live period in Greensboro and they really feel like I could be a good ACC player. Clemson really likes my versatility on defense and how I just continue to add to my game each and every time they see me.

If I’m able to take a visit, I take it to just get a feel for the college landscape. I’m just trying to find the right fit honestly.”

With a Radford visit coming up, he hopes to get a glimpse of how things are ran at the program, compare it to others and see the differences.

Who is making a strong push early and other interests:

With several offers on the table, three schools are making a strong push early for Michael. USF, Providence, and NC State seem to stand out early on, with the Wolfpack already receiving a visit from Michael back on August 30th.

He plans on visiting both Providence and USF as well. As far as two schools though that could expand his offer list, Michael says Clemson and Pittsburgh are two others that have shown strong interest.

Thoughts on NC State visit:

“It was a really good visit. Being around other North Carolina players and just seeing the lifestyle that the players have living there. My family and I had a really good time.”
