Phenom Hoops hit the road in North Carolina again, this time to check out Village Christian

The defending 2A NCISAA State Champions, Village Christian. The core of the team returns, led by tough guard play and long athletic wings, Village Christian will be an in your face forcing the tempo team on both ends. During this open gym, Virginia Tech, Georgia, Tech, Western Carolina, Gardner Webb, and Elizabeth City State were all in the gym.
Make sure to come out to Phenom’s Feast of Champions, November 25 and 26 at Cox Mill High School in Concord, to watch them compete.
Here are the players to watch.
6’ 2017 Jordan Ratliffe
Committed to VMI
Ratliffe is tough! He is an explosive scoring guard who can get a bucket in any situation. Last season he averaged 19 per game, expect that to rise his senior year. He is playing with a chip on his shoulder, this season could be fun for him.
5’10” 2018 Dakari Johnson
Johnson came across town from Northwood Temple and joins one of the toughest minded backcourts around. Johnson is a scoring lead guard, he is crafty around the basket and has deep range. Look for Johnson’s recruitment to start rounding out this season.
6’7 2017 Nassyr Daniels
Daniels anchors the post for this team. The lefty has very soft touch around the basket. He is a good athlete and has great length and timing around the basket. Daniels is a terror in the passing lanes and pads the stat sheet across the board. He is a very productive player.
6’5” 2017 Omari Wilson
Wilson is another transfer, this time from across town Seventy-First high school. When first watching him, you can’t help but notice his long arms. He has, far and away, the longest wing span on the team. He is also a great athlete with a naturally smooth feel for the game. Wilson is just putting things together, and figuring out how to use his natural gifts. Keep a close eye, as he continues to do so.
