6'6' 2018 Sharone Wright Jr
West Florence HS (SC)

Sharone (June) Wright, Jr is a big time prospect, one who carries a unique game and one who is bleeding with upside.

Over the past year, June has picked up upwards of 20 offers. Since we first put him on the scene, it has been hectic. So much so that he has already narrowed his list to 12 schools. South Carolina, Wake Forest, Clemson, Arkansas, Central Florida, Auburn, Georgia, VCU, Charlotte, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Kansas State comprise of Wright's listed 'Final 12'.

The name may sound familiar, as Sharone Wright Sr. was one of the best players in Clemson history. In 1994, the Philadelphia 76ers too Wright Sr as the number 6 overall pick in the NBA draft. However, June is a completely different player from his dad.

June is a guard, at 6'6' (and probably still growing) with a 6'11' wing span, he is able to seamlessly move back and forth between the point and shooting guard positions. June is very long and is really coming into some high flying athleticism. Each game, June seems to get better. The aggression is mounting and the game skill set is rapidly developing.

June's father is 7' and his mother stands 6'2' and he is projected to conservatively end up in the 6'8' range, and therein lies the unique nature of this prospect.'He was invited to the NBA Players Association Top 100 camp as an underclassman and walked away from that camp ranked by Rivals.com as the number 92 prospect in the sophomore class.

June's in-game stats back up his Top 100 status. Last season Wright is averaged 15 points, 5.5 boards, and 4 assists per game. His shooting has improved drastically as he is connecting on 35% of his 3 point attempts, and 54% of his shots overall. Defensively he uses his length and instincts to average 2.5 steals, 1.5 blocks, and countless deflections per game.

In Phenom's Millbrook Showcase Wright will be matched up with the number 1 ranked public school in South Carolina. The individual match up everyone will be looking at will be June against Top 10 2019 prospect Christian Brown. However, he will probably see himself across from Buffalo signee James Reese more times than not. Regardless, June will need to step up to the plate in a big way, but with Juan Perez, Jalen Cameron, and Travion McCray he has scholarship players by his side to go right at AC Flora.
