Phenom High School Jamboree

From the Sidelines

2019 Standouts'

6'2 Michael Green (Myrtle Beach Christian)

Simply stated, it was an absolutely outstanding performance for 6'2 Michael Green. He averaged 26.3 PPG in the three scrimmage games, but it was his 35-point performance against Northside Christian that was the 'tell all' story. He literally put the team on his back and Myrtle Beach pulled out the win. Green has an advanced skill set and impeccable feel for the game. Green is one of the more fundamental sound players you will find in the country. He just knows how to win!

6'4 Jalen Lecque (Christ School)

Jalen Lecque used the courts at Proehlific Park as his own personal playground. He has NBA elite level athleticism and his dunks especially made the You Tube video highlight guys extremely happy. He put on a dunking exhibition that was quite impressive. In addition, his skill set is second to none and has the ability to take over a game with his scoring and passing abilities. The 'do it all' point guard plays on another level and has all the physical attributes and skills to single handedly take over a game. Lecque averaged 23.0 PPG and did it in a very unselfish manner.

6'0 Shakeel Moore (Piedmont Classical)

No player has elevated their game more in the past month than 6'0 Shakeel Moore. Moore made his footprints at the NC Phenom 150 camp and duplicated his performance at the Phenom High School Jamboree. The southpaw has a unique blend of strength, speed, bounce, athleticism, and skill. Moore has the ability to slither through the defense and make crowd pleasing dunks or knock down 3-pointers with a soft shooting touch. Moore averaged 19.3 PPG and dished out numerous assists throughout the day.

6'4 D'Angelo Elliott (Carolina Day School)

Coming into the jamboree, Coach Robinson stated, 'D'Angelo Elliott is a 'do it all' type player, whether, it is rebounding, scoring or playing defense,''and he proved his coach correct. 'Elliott is a very intriguing prospect that showcased a very versatile game. He has the ability to play and guard multiple positions and combines strength, toughness and a certain smoothness to his game. Elliott scored from all three levels and averaged 17 PPG for the jamboree.

6'3 Zeke Littlejohn (Kings Mountain)

Zeke Little is a high energy multi-level scorer. He has a velvet shooting touch and has tremendous range and is one of the better shooters in the North Carolina 2019 class. While Littlejohn can score off the bounce, he is really terrific off the catch which at times looks so effortless. Littlejohn averaged a modest 16 PPG but showcased the ability to play both ends of the court. Whether it is a camp or high school setting, Littlejohn has always impressed us with his high motor and full throttle approach to the game.

6'5 Cortez Marion-Holmes (Northside Christian)

This was our first viewing of the transfer from Nebraska. Coming in, Coach Hatchell stated,''Cortez has exceptional upside. He's long, athletic and is very versatile. He has unbelievable work ethic. Cortez certainly has D1 skills, talent, and ability.''Boy, was he not kidding! Cortez Marion-Holmes demonstrated a complete skill set accompanied with tremendous length and athleticism. He can score from any spot on the court and has the ability use his size effectively in attacking the basket. Cortez led Northside in scoring with an average of 16.3 PPG in the three scrimmage games.

6'9 Jae'lyn Withers (North Mecklenburg)

What's not to like about a 6'9 athletic, mobile and versatile hybrid forward. Jae'lyn Withers has a handful of high major offers and picked up another one from Kansas State after his solid and stellar play at the Phenom Jamboree. Withers has unbelievable length and outstanding 3-point shooting range. That being said, Withers hasn't even begun to scratch the surface on his long-range potential. The sky's the limit for the mid mannered Withers.
