What Has Been Said:
“Another talented shooter that gives Lincoln Charter another weapon. Coaches son and with a nice frame, he is well on his way to being a good prospect. Scored 19 points in the first game.” — Patrick O’Brien
“Jackson Gabriel is receiving interest from Longwood University, Campbell, Radford, Georgia Southern, Lipscomb and Milligan. Jackson is playing at a high level this sophomore campaign. He is averaging 18.6pts 5.6 rbs 4.7 assist and 3.3 steals. He is shooting 54% from 3 pt line and has hit 58 on the year. He is really a complete player as he is a solid defender as well( taken 8 charges alreday). Jackson is a competitor and a tough kid. Scored 22 pts vs a very good , athletic and rough Hunter Huss team with a very bad sprained ankle suffered the night before. But that is who he is and how he plays. Only a sophomore but will continue to grow and get better. Carries a 3.5 GPA.” — Coach Gabriel
” Lincoln Charter’s backcourt is like peanut butter and jelly, a perfect compliment, because that describes Shubert and Gabriel. Though Shubert is often the main focus for opposing teams, more times than not it is Gabriel that destroys them in the end. His ability to stretch the floor is essential to their game plan and he is absolutely knockdown from three-point land. He is able to attack off the dribble when the opportunity presents itself but is far more comfortable behind the three-point line. Gabriel’s mechanics are excellent, his range is unlimited and he has a quick trigger, all necessary weapons for a great shooter. He isn’t just a shooter though, as he went toe to toe with sharpshooter Michael Hueitt (of Northwood Temple) and held him to just one three-pointer; Gabriel also guarded Piedmont star, Hunter Tyson, for much of their showdown and contained him fairly well. He is a quality team defender and plays with a high IQ on both sides of the ball. His ability to shoot the ball will attract college coaches, but his ability to defend will keep them calling.” — Jeff Bendel
