If you’re a college coach heading to the Phenom Summer Havoc this weekend, consider this your cheat sheet. Whether you’re searching for underrated gems, late bloomers, or rising stars ready to break out — these are the players you need to have on your radar. They’ve been putting in work, flying under the radar, and now it’s time for D1 programs to start taking a hard look. Talent is everywhere at Summer Havoc, and these names could be your next big steal. This is what has been said as of late about these players, and why they should be hot targets this weekend.

2026 6’10 Talla Mbaye (NC Heels)

“Mbaye continues to be a prospect of interest with his size, consistency, and his ability to impact the game in the paint. Standing at 6’10, Mbaye has a blossoming game that one can see potential as a developing big. He brings a great frame that will allow him to find success down the road, but also shows touch, feel, and a strong motor that allows him to flourish on the court. Mbaye finishes well around the basket, finishing strong at the rim or operating well around the basket, as well as creating opportunities by attacking the glass. He also does a great job in being a physical presence defensively, moving well and staying active throughout.”

2026 6’10 Hendrix Loughridge (PSB Tampa Elite)

Loughridge will be a new name for us at Phenom Hoops and one that already holds a D1 offer, he will be a name to watch out for. Of course, a player standing at 6’10 will always catch your eyes, but he is one that looks to be impacting the game on both ends. He demonstrates that he can be an effective scorer with his size, and also attacks the glass well, altering shots. Loughridge is showing that he can be a double-double type big man, and we are eager to see more of his game. Could this be the breakout event for him?

2026 6’3 Ian Bailey (Team Vision)

“When you watch how Bailey operates, you have to be impressed with his overall feel for the game. He knows and understands how to run the offense, playing with pace and feel, showing the ability to be a facilitator and creator, making high IQ decisions, and has another gear in being a true scorer for himself. Bailey’s feel and pace impress, especially with how he sees the floor. And that doesn’t mention his ability to be a true scoring threat off the bounce, finishing through contact, getting to his spots, and scoring from various levels.”

2026 6’8 Cutter Sisk (Tennessee Tigers)

“To say that we walked away impressed is an understatement, and his game should translate really well to the next level as he continues to develop. Sisk has an excellent feel in so many ways on the court; excellent footwork and feel in the post, terrific finishing ability against contact, great touch around the basket, and excellent instincts and feel on the glass creating extra opportunities for his team. However, he was also able to display a comfort level in stretching the floor from the perimeter, can facilitate to his teammates well both inside and out, and also shows good handles as a big man.  So far this season, the big man is posting averages of 23ppg, 10rpg, and 2bpg, and he has only continued to get better as a prospect since we last viewed him.”

2026 6’2 Chaise Smith (Strictly Ballas)

“Although we are waiting on his inevitable uptick in recruitment, Smith recently received an offer from Presbyterian. However, it still feels like Smith is poised to erupt over the next few months. He’s an obvious Division I talent with the athleticism, creation skills, and two-way instincts to be an asset for a variety of different programs. Smith’s ability to operate from either guard spot, fill it up as a scorer, and consistently generate clean looks for others makes him quite valuable. Add in his useful presence as a defender and rebounder, and it’s easy to see the appeal. College coaches can watch him Friday-Sunday in Raleigh.
