Phenom Summer Grind
Players to Watch – Part 1

DJ Burns
6'8' 2019 QCAA 15s
Burns is big, Burns has great touch, and Burns is productive. The lefty is newer to the scene but there is no denying that he belongs there. Two weeks ago in the Phenom Summer Jam Burns led his York Prep team in both scoring and rebounding. There is a lot to like with the upside here.

Faison Brock
6'5' 2016 WCBA 17s
Brock is extremely long and uses his length to his asset on the defensive side of the ball. Throughout the entirety of a game, Brock racks up on steals, rebounds, and blocked shot stats. The highly explosive Brock stands out in transition and is able to knock down open shots off the catch.

Carter Collins
6'1 2017 Durham Hurricanes 16s
Collins plays with a smooth confidence well beyond his years. Recently ranked the 20th best player in North Carolina's 2017 class, it has been a rapid rise for Collins. During a team camp game against a full staffed Apex High School, Collins dropped an impressive 44 points. That is just the beginning of what is to come for Collins

Zavian Jackson
6'2' 2016 Brand X
Jackson broke out at this Spring's NC Phenom 150 Camp, where he caught the eye of scouts and mix tape cameras alike. Since then the very excitable Jackson has competed in the prestigious NC Top 80 and picked up interest from colleges around the region. The highly explosive Jackson will be a hot commodity in July.

Jordan Shepherd
6'2' 2016 PSB Elite
Shepherd was one of the hottest names during April. Attending the Phenom Challenge and the Grassroots Tip-Off Classic, Shepherd picked up 9 offers. He has since switched teams and is carrying his 12 offers into July. Shepherd is a true point guard, who runs the show letting the play develop. He is also surprisingly explosive carrying a 38' vertical, that he shows off in transition and with a lightning quick first step into the lane.

Christian Brown
6'6' 2019 Team United 14s
This team was recently ranked #3 overall in the country. You can make a case for anyone on this roster to be listed here, but we went with Brown here. He is coming off the Fab Frosh 100 camp where he won Camp MVP. Brown is a long and athletic wing that looks great in transition as well as on the ball in the half court. HUGE Upside.
