Phenom Hoops is continuing to expand and learn about new players around the country, as we recently stumbled upon and learned a bit more about a rising prospect in 2026 6’9 Darius Ratliff. He is a developing prospect who brings a nice blend of size and skillset, showing his comfort level and impact in a variety of ways.
At 6’9 and with his fluidity, Ratliff is comfortable in stretching the floor, knocking down shots off the catch, and showing some range in his game. But with that same length and much as he said below, he can help anchor a defense by altering shots or just being a presence around the basket.
His recruitment is just starting right now, as he holds an offer from St. Bonaventure while other schools have been showing interest his way. However, that list could and should only grow with a strong summer and as he heads into the upcoming high school season.
He also has a brother, 2026 Adonis Ratliff, who also plays at Stepinac and received an offer from St. Bonaventure. Keep an eye on these two as they continue to develop.
Game Description and Development:
“I would best describe my game as a stretch 4, someone who can put it on the floor and be an anchor on defense. I would say I model my game after Kevin Durant, while also having a little bit of Karl Anthony-Towns in my game. I want to work on being able to handle pressure and putting the ball on the court more, as well as getting to my spots, getting stronger, and continuing to have a consistent shot. Also increasing my range and jumping higher.”
