Player: Chas Stinson
Class: 2022

School: Liberty Heights Varsity

As many seniors are starting to announce their commitment to programs, there are still prospects all around the state of North Carolina that are still available and certainly could help a program at the next level.  One of those players that we have seen quite a few times this year is 2022 6’4 Chas Stinson from Liberty Heights.

Stinson is a very intriguing player when you watch him on the floor, especially with what he provides and how he can be used.  Yes, the Simpkins twins get a lot of the attention but Stinson is one that is incredibly productive without being a focal point in an offense.  It is his two-way presence on the floor and his ability to step up when needed but also do what is needed for his team to win.

Using his length well, Stinson does a great job outside of his offensive capabilities that should intrigue college coaches.  His ability to defend multiple positions, attack the glass, help find his teammates, create steals, and his overall motor in putting his body on the line makes him a well-rounded prospect.  Then, when you add his capability to be an offensive threat, excelling out in transition and finishing at the rim, or moving around to score in a variety of levels from the court, Stinson just gets the job done.

And what is great about him is that he just does what is needed for his team to win.  If you need him to defend, he will get it done.  If you need him to step up offensively, he can provide that.  If you just need him to make plays on both ends and fill up the stat sheet, as well as be a leader, Stinson can provide just that.

He is a very smart player both on and off the court as well, as he is a high-academic student as well.

Stinson checks off a lot of boxes for college coaches and one that is still available, he certainly should be one that receives more looks his way.
