With summer coming to an end, it is time to reflect on all the talent and players we watched throughout the months on the Phenom Hoops platform. Again, our job at Phenom is to provide a platform for players to be seen and recognized, which is what we are looking to do. Reviewing so much film and reports, our team is looking to shed light on players that college coaches should be looking at or tracking, whether they are big-time talents or hidden gems.

A prospect that I was able to find intriguing when watching him in limited action was 2028 6’4 Zachary Rogers. His overall production clearly stood out when he was on the court, as he proved he could be a double-double type presence even as a 6’4 prospect. At an even this past summer, we had this to say about his game:

“2028 Zachary Rogers (Team Crews) was a strong presence today when watching him. Good overall size and physicality, as he was able to be a force around the basket. Strong overall performance from him.”

Rogers is one who can bring steady and consistent production to the court, as he is built strong, embraces physicality and competing, can score effectively inside and at the rim, and also excels with his presence on the glass. He plays with such a strong motor, looking to compete, apply endless pressure offensively at the rim, and just outwork others offensively and on the glass. Again, he is a prospect that can be a double-double type presence, as well as find ways to make his presence felt defensively.

Rogers is an intriguing prospect whose physicality, motor, rebounding ability, and consistent interior production allow him to make his presence felt on both ends of the court. His willingness to embrace contact, compete for every possession, and outwork opponents gives him the potential to be a reliable double-double threat. As he continues to expand his game, Rogers should be a valuable name for college coaches to monitor in North Carolina’s 2028 class.
