With summer coming to an end, it is time to reflect on all the talent and players we watched throughout the months on the Phenom Hoops platform. Again, our job at Phenom is to provide a platform for players to be seen and recognized, which is what we are looking to do. Reviewing so much film and reports, our team is looking to shed light on players that college coaches should be looking at or tracking, whether they are big-time talents or hidden gems.
One of the more consistent players on the Phenom Hoops platform this summer has been from 2028 6’3 Rickey Torrence with Warriors Elite. A prospect that has clearly made steady progress with his game as well as grown with overall confidence, Torrence was able to showcase his ability to be an effective weapon offensively every time. The 6’3 guard was able to effectively create off the bounce and get to his spots well, especially getting inside the defense and finding ways to finish with touch and with his jumper over defenders. Torrence also moved well without the ball, constantly moving and looking to create scoring opportunities for himself. Additionally, Torrence was able to shine from outside as well, playing off the ball to knock down shots. Overall, Torrence was able to effectively pick his spots, take what the defense gave him, and play on or off the ball to bring a steady presence offensively in leading his team.
And we don’t see that slowing down this upcoming season, as Torrence could be in for a big season for Metrolina Christian.
