The Phenom National Tip-Off at Davidson Day is officially here, and Day 2 is loaded with can’t-miss matchups that will set the tone for the weekend. From rising stars and dynamic scorers to powerhouse frontcourts and deep rosters, the talent level is off the charts. Each game brings its own set of storylines and excitement, as this will be one of the biggest events in the country. Here’s a full breakdown of what to watch as the action tips off.

12:00 pm – Hopewell vs. Mallard Creek

Two Charlotte public schools go head-to-head early in the season, with both looking to make a statement in front of a packed house. Both teams have intriguing talent, strong guards, and playmakers, as we get a chance to learn about what each team will be bringing to the table this season. We had a chance to watch Mallard Creek early on, and the Mavs certainly seem to be playing with different energy.

1:30 pm – Chambers vs. Forsyth Country Day

A very interesting matchup between Chambers and FCDS, and what will be all the talk is the guard play for both teams. FCDS has tough, gritty, and experienced guards that have their eyes on the big prize; they have certainly proved that with 2026 Q Williams and company. But Chambers, who will look a bit different, will have new names looking to step up and lead the way as players like 2027 QJ Young and 2027 Zyon White, while it is 2026 Cameron Thompson’s time to shine in the bright lights.

3:00 pm – Combine vs. Phoenix Montessori

After Phoenix Montessori gets everything going on Day 1, they are back on Day 2 to go up against Combine, who will also be back. Both teams will be looking to make another statement in front of full house, with 2026 Jeromy Davis and 2026 Elhadji Diallo looking to make a statement against a strong roster from Montessori led by 2026 Jossiah Johnson and company. Plenty of talent and strong play will be leading the charge in this game.

4:30 pm – Providence Day vs. Gaston Christian

This is a great opportunity to really see what Providence Day is going to bring and have this season, as they have yet another big test against a Gaston Christian that has proven themselves early on. Providence Day has a nice overall balance with their roster, but they are going up against a gritty, tough, and proven team already in Gaston Christian, who is looking to rack up another impressive victory.

6:00 pm – Concord Academy vs. WS Christian

Two very talented teams square up in a highly intriguing and energetic matchup. Concord Academy is looking to put it together more with a talented and balanced roster, allowing new names to adjust and operate inside and out. WS Christian has that as well with terrific guard play, length, shot-making, and size.  This looks to be a toss-up against two teams that are well-coached and respected.

7:30 pm – Davidson Day vs. Christ School

A matchup against two of the best teams in the state of North Carolina? What could you ask for to end a big-time event? Davidson Day has the size and excellent guard play, as they are putting it all together and will look to put that to the test against a premier opponent. Christ School may look a bit different, but this is a talented group with 2026 Dacen Petty, 2027 Trevor Manhertz, and so many others who are ready to go to battle.
