Coming up from Georgia, it was great to learn a few new names at the Phenom Hoops LIVE with the Georgia Ignites. This was a team that brought good balance and guard play, as we made note of a few players that grabbed our attention and played well. We break down our thoughts on a few players with this team, hoping to learn more about them.
2027 6’2 Marlon Knight
Knight, overall, had a strong showing on the court no matter who he was playing with. Knight is a young guard who showed his scoring power, his ability to get downhill and finish, but also operate from multiple levels. Really flourished as a scorer on the court.
2025 6’1 Jabril Simmons
Simmons was a tough yet entertaining guard that excelled with the ball in his hands. He knows how to make plays, he can be explosive and create well, creates his own shot but also gets others involved as well. He plays with a high motor and with a scrappy feel to his game.
2025 6’7 Matthew Cummings
Cummings was able to bring size to the table for his team, as he sits at 6’7 and with a physical feel. He has a good feel and brings a strong feel to the table down in the paint, as he can attack the boards and show flashes of his ability to impact the game offensively around the paint.
2026 5’9 Trey Lamar
Lamar was a good guard that showed flashes of his game. He is quick with the ball in his hands, creates well off the dribble and get downhill, show touch in his ability to finish over defenders but also can knock down shots from the perimeter. Lamar excelled well out in transition as well.
