George Beale 6’2, 155 2022 King’s Fork High School, Suffolk VA / Boo Williams AAU

Coach Frank say’s: Few players in the 2022 class in the 757 can match the physical and athletic attributes of George Beale. He is a long 6’2 with a 6’6 wingspan, explosive quickness and bounce and great versatility. Not only is George athletically and physically elite he has sound guard skills and plays with energy and aggression. He has a tight handle and is a shifty and assertive basket attacking guard who can play above the rim. He has the ability to change speeds and seemingly coast, then erupt into a quick burst and attack seams. He uses his long strides and explosive first step to beat his man but can also use a change of pace dribble move to set up his defender. George can fight off contact and finish or in a seemingly slippery fashion slice his way through the defense using his length and long strides to eat up real estate as he attacks the rim aggressively. He plays with great confidence and a swagger, always playing at a high level and always competing. While George is at his most dangerous in transition or attacking off the bounce, he can knock down the jumper with good range. He is a smooth operator in the mid range area with a good pull up jumper complete with a nice follow through and high release, gets good uplift as he puts on the breaks and launches into the pull up jumper which he hits at a very good rate. Defensively he is a work horse on the boards rebounding both ends showing his great bounce and asserting himself physically. George’s versatility is not restricted to the offensive end as he has the ability to defend any position defensively. He has quick feet, very good footwork and lateral mobility and of course his long arms and active hands are bothersome for ball handlers. George has all the intangibles and the work ethic and passion for the game that will bode well in his continued development. He is very exciting to watch and his upside is tremendous. Watching him compete you see his passion, watching him execute you see his advanced skill level and you cannot help but be excited about his basketball future. I’ve watched him on a number of occasions and his growth as a player continues on a steady incline. At a recent all star game he earned MVP honors while rocking the rim with a few dunks and adding in several jumpers. George had the highlight play of the game as he got a steal in the backcourt and a made a quick drive to the rim where he cuffed the ball and slammed home a one hand rim thumping jam. He is young with regards to age but his ability and his approach are far from novice. George Beale is a prospect fans throughout the 757 should make a point to see and a name college coaches should be on the lookout for. He’s a special talent!
