Starting tomorrow, Phenom Hoops will travel down to Rock Hill, South Carolina, to host our annual Grassroots Tip-Off Classic. Every year, the event is loaded with talent. However, this is arguably the most talented collection of teams yet. There are several premier programs on the girls’ and boys’ side, including groups of committed seniors who were pieced together for one last weekend of competition prior to college. We will preview some of the highly anticipated games across several divisions…

Schedule:

Drifty Elite vs. Team CP3 2026- 4/12 @ 11:30

Drifty Elite vs. Bam’s City Scrappers- 4/12 @ 2:00

The quickly formed Drifty Elite will feature as much talent as any group on display. Guys like Josiah Parker (FAU), Kaden Magwood (Auburn), Isaiah Denis (UNC), and Zymicah Wilkins (NC State) are some of the notable names, but it appears everyone across the roster will play at the next level. Regardless, they face off against an incredibly loaded Team CP3 squad. Folks should be familiar with the likes of Dionte Neal, Kendre Harrison, Kohl Rosario, Cole Cloer, Will Stevens, Q Williams, and several others. It will be the first opportunity to see Team CP3 2026 in action this travel ball season. Can the former Peach Jam winners continue to dominate or will the departing seniors for Drifty Elite give them issues?

Meanwhile, the Bam’s City Scrappers will feature guys like Tre McKinnon (App. State), Trent Steinour (Clemson), KJ Younger (UNCG), Jordan Watford (Queens), Bryce Slay (Marshall), Taye Smith, Ashton King, Josh Dalton, Chris Rivens, and Garrett Morgan. This group is overflowing with talent and should be more than capable of going toe-to-toe with Drifty Elite. Furthermore, it might be the last time we see any of these committed players before entering the collegiate ranks. Expect both highly anticipated games to have standing-room only.
