Player Notes:
Northern Nash:
- 2029 Quantay James is a name that many have heard of and will be hearing a lot more about, as the young, lengthy prospect showcased his scoring capabilities throughout the game. He found much of his success attacking in transition and getting out in the open floor, driving strong or getting out on the break to score at the rim. He stayed assertive throughout and will certainly be a name to watch in the freshman class here in NC.
- 2026 Christian Barnes was an aggressive guard who brought a ton of energy and really attacked the defense. He used his speed and quickness to his advantage, getting paint touches, finishing strong, and finding ways to get to the line. 2027 Kingston Little and 2026 Jamiere Harris were two other guards who produced, with Little bringing a strong finisher and embracing contact, while Harris brought strong athleticism.
NW Halifax
- With this team, 2026 Daveion Richardson looks to be the lead go-to player with his size, athleticism, and versatility, as he led the charge in scoring as well as making an impact in other areas of the court. Will be a true stat-stuffer for this team.
- Keep an eye on the two young freshmen for this team, as I liked the flashes they showed. 2029 Jayden Richardson is a long young prospect that isn’t afraid to show he can be a multi-level scorer, being able to stretch the floor from three but also use his length to his advantage. 2029 Jermauri Evans was another player that I liked overall, especially with his 6’3 frame, his ability to run the offense and see the floor, find teammates, impact the game on the glass, and be a presence on the defensive end. He has a smooth overall feel and balances it well as a facilitator or scorer, while also being a good defender.
