After months of travel ball building up to the first Live period of the season, we have finally reached our G3 Showcase. The event is set to have a ton of next-level prospects in addition to new faces worthy of attention from onlooking college coaches. The event will take place at Rock Hill, Indian Land, and Rock Hill Sports and Events Center from Friday through Sunday. We will take a quick look at some of the teams and players coaches should be watching, and this edition features NC Spartans Graves.

What we’ve said:

Nicholas Graves

“Graves leads with consistency. Nothing flashy or excessive, he simply provides a smart steady presence on both ends of the floor. Dictates the offensive action with poise and unselfishness.”

Patrick Graves

“Graves has done a nice job of scoring in a variety of different ways. He’s been able to get to the rim with ease while also knocking down shots off the dribble.”

Aiden Martin

“Martin has put it all out there in this one. Quick and scrappy with the ability to pester ball-handlers on the perimeter. Wins with the low shoulder and first step, able to stop on a dime and keep defenders off balance in the paint.”

Robbie Knotts

“Knotts has the strength you need to handle primary ball-handling pressure, has the court vision and penetration abilities to carve out playmaking space on a regular basis. Balanced with pace and great habit of playing off two feet.”

Tyren Martin

“Feels like Martin is poised for a strong summer. Highly consistent, well-rounded guard with IQ, size, and athleticism. Quality penetrator and finisher. Applies great pressure in transition. Will be a target for college coaches.”

Alex Waterfield

“Waterfield makes a positive impact with his scrappiness and level of energy. Highlights a blue-collar approach and naturally fills in the gaps on both ends of the floor.”

Jalen Walker

“Jalen is committed to playing defense. He sees the floor well. Jalen needs to work on his shooting to become a more serious threat. He offered a positive attitude and unselfish presence throughout the day.”

Malachi McCutcheon

“Easy to see the impact McCutcheon is having as a new addition. His length, motor, and two-way interior presence naturally causes problems for opponents. Provides excellent activity as a defender and rebounder.”
