Each and every time Phenom Hoops gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player. Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Dylan Deluca
Class: 2025
Committed to: Taylor University

“He’s a skilled, wiry forward prospect with touch, vision, and useful perimeter shooting instincts from midrange and beyond the arc. Deluca rebounds at a nice rate, attacks closeouts as needed, and does a great job of drawing bigger opponents out to the arc. He’s a solid finisher and interior defender who plays with energy on both ends. Coach Collins on Deluca: “Dylan can flat-out shoot the ball, and isn’t selfish whatsoever. I would like to see him be a little bit more vocal and play a little bit better defense, and he will be fine. I had a pleasure coaching him. Overall, a great kid with a smooth jumper.” Deluca made a quality impact at camp, and should be a strong contributor for United Faith during the upcoming season.”

“Deluca has really elevated his play over the last year; finishing off a strong high school season and now looking to bring that same intensity to the court this summer, Deluca should be a sneaky prospect to watch out for. With his size and skill set, he can be used and operate from multiple levels, creating touch matchups inside or out. Deluca continues to be a consistent scoring threat on the court but also impacts the game in all other areas as well.”

“Deluca has been consistent all year long and continued his production to start the summer off with CC Elite. Deluca is a versatile player who understands how to score from multiple positions, can be a tough matchup from an array of levels, and has a strong skill set to go with his overall feel. This is a rising senior who can help a program and should be a target for many this summer.”

“He’s a fairly skilled forward prospect with the understanding of how to do the dirty work while picking his spots within the flow of the action. Deluca is a useful finisher or floor-spacing option with the ability to attack effectively off the dribble. He possesses somewhat of a wiry frame, utilizing his combination of toughness and energy to make an impact within the paint. Deluca is a useful defender and rebounder with IQ and the ability to generate success within a role at a young age.”
