Each and every time Phenom Hoops gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day. It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.
Here is the latest commitment.
Player: Jackson Keith
Class: 2025
Committed to: Butler
“2025 6’6 Jackson Keith is a player who has proven time after time of his impact on the court; he can be an effective scoring option and has clearly been the go-to player for Southern Durham year after year. The opponent’s game plan is always looking to slow him down yet he still finds ways to produce, no matter if he needs to be a force down in the paint against smaller opponents, play multiple positions inside and out, or score from a variety of levels. He also understands how to impact the game, making unselfish plays in finding teammates and getting others involved, and also can be a strong presence on the glass as well. Keith has a tremendous mindset in finding ways to get better and continues to do just that. All of this, as well as his 6’6 strong frame and impact in a variety of roles on both sides of the court, is why Keith should be a big target for college programs all over the country.”
“There was almost no real transition from “comfortable contributor” to “the undisputed guy,” as he immediately took the reins upon joining the team. Since then, Keith has been as impressive as any freshman in the state. He’s an all-around wing prospect with the IQ, physical attributes, and two-way versatility to naturally dominate within the flow of the action. Keith is a well-rounded athlete with excellent size, fluidity, and explosiveness. However, he’s also quite skilled and regularly displays creation ability with the ball in his hands. Keith is already capable of scoring from all levels, making plays without the ball, and setting up others at a nice rate. Between his rebounding, defensive prowess, and efficient offensive game, he’s having no issue asserting himself on both ends of the floor. The scariest part’ Keith is still just beginning to truly scratch the surface of his long-term ceiling.”
“He’s a smart, polished, all-around wing prospect with a phenomenal blend of size, skill, and athleticism. Keith is a legitimate offensive weapon who can comfortably dictate the action with the ball in his hands or apply aggressive scoring pressure alongside a primary ball-handler. He scores the ball with frequency and efficiency from all three levels, and mixes it up enough to keep defenses constantly guessing. Keith is crafty, decisive, and outworks his assignment on both ends of the floor with relative ease.”
