Each and every time Phenom Hoops gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Keyon Webb

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

“It should go without saying but Sheed Wallace Select was easily one of the most exciting, entertaining teams on display, and Keyon Webb is an undeniably large part of their overall appeal. Like pretty much everyone else on the roster, he’s extremely tough and gritty with athleticism and a high motor. Webb offers a pretty fluid identity as a player, able to legitimately run a team or apply pressure alongside another primary ball-handler. His knockdown shooting ability from midrange and beyond the arc is what makes him such a useful threat without the ball in his hands. However, Webb is equally as strong off the catch and dribble—both from midrange and distance. He handles the ball well, displays IQ and craftiness as a creator, and sets up others at a nice rate. Webb also looks to attack in transition, where he’s a proven finisher or setup artist. Although early, scholarship-level coaches should already be laying groundwork.”

“He’s always shown point guard ability and been able to score the ball, yet understands the required balance in running a team on both ends of the floor. Webb displays IQ, poise, and patience with the ball in his hands, but is also assertive enough to take advantage of any available scoring opportunities. He’s an excellent perimeter shooter, both from midrange and beyond the arc, and actively looks to take opponents off the bounce whenever possible. Webb is a reliable playmaker with useful vision, ball-handling, and a willingness to make the right play. Additionally, he rebounds his position well and consistently makes his presence felt as a defender at the point of attack.”

“Webb was the offensive weapon for Riverside, scoring 25 of the team’s 46 points. He was aggressive on both ends, creating well off the dribble, getting to the line, but also stepping out with his smooth jumper. Webb was able to show that he can get to the rim and finish in traffic.”
