McSweeney had his way today, finishing with 36p, 17r, & 4a en route to a 16-point win. He showcased the full arsenal offensively, getting whatever he wanted inside, stepping out and hitting jumpers, and making timely passes out of the post. His footwork, touch, and patience around the rim was highly impressive. His motor was outstanding, dominating the glass on both ends.
5’11” 2025 Damon Phillips (Cardinal Gibbons)
Phillips was a great compliment to McSweeney today, finishing with 8p, 6r, & 5a in the win. He was constantly moving without the ball, creating space with his ability to cut, come off screens, and run the floor. He was dynamic as a passer today, finding a ton of creative windows to set up teammates.
6’0” 2025 Seung Surmons (Southern Wake Academy)
Surmons consistently found ways to create for himself today, finding space and getting his shot off with relative ease, finishing with 18p & 4r. He showcased his shiftiness, handling craft, and shot making ability throughout the day. He was essential in keeping the first half competitive for SWA, pouring in 14 of his points in that time.
6’7” 2025 Ira Wilson (Southern Wake Academy)
Wilson was highly productive today, something that’s typical for the 6’7” senior. He finished with 12p, 10r, 3a, 1b, & 2s in the loss. He was highly impactful in transition, making a handful of strong plays as a scorer and passer. His willingness to do the dirty work and impact winning through rebounding, defending, and hustle plays can not be overstated.
