We continued Championship Sunday here in Rock Hill, as we moved to the Silver Division. Westlake Prep and Olympus Prep Red squared off on the main arena court and went to battle. Early on, Westlake was able to get multiple guys involved, using their length to their advantage but also having the guard play step up. Olympus though was led by Antonio Taylor and Benjamin Williams early on but found themselves down at halftime. Westlake was able to continue to maintain their double-digit lead in the second half, as Jaden Martin and company continued to attack, get out in transition, and make plays, ultimately expanding their lead late and securing the 84-59 victory. They were able to walk away as champions with Phenom Hoops.
Final: Westlake Prep 84 – Olympus Prep 59
Stats:
Westlake: Jaden Martin 21, Nazih Chehade 16
Olympus: Antonio Taylor 25, Damon Strand 9
What Was Said:
“Antonio Taylor (Olympus Prep Red) is getting to his spots and showing his ability to pull up and knock down shots. Also been able to pick his spots and get to the line. #PhenomPGNationals”
“Really like the competitive nature from 2022 Jaden Martin @Wade_Elite all weekend long. Such a fluid athletic forward, attacking the boards, and runs the floor well. #PhenomPGNationals”
