Player: Jahvon John

Class: 2019

HT: 6’6

High School: Bishop Sullivan Catholic School, Virginia Beach VA

AAU Team: Academy Prep/Team Loaded

AAU Coach Evaluation: Jahvon can definitely be a dominate force on the defensive end of the floor. He can be a terror on the boards and has the extinctive ability to block shots. Jahvon’s game has really improved offensively. His ability to rebound the ball and push it in transition puts immediate pressure on defenses. He now possesses a decent mid-range game and has the ability to post-up as well as face the basket. Jahvon has made a smooth transition to a wing and will definitely be an impact player in the future. – Coach James Pope, Head Coach Surry County HS and Academy Prep/Team Loaded AAU

Coach Frank says: Jahvon is oozing with upside and has the ability to impact games on both ends of the floor. He has good size and excellent mobility. Jahvon is a quickly improving offensive player with a nice shooting touch around the basket either with his back to the basket or facing up where he seems more comfortable. His perimeter skills seem more natural to him and he can handle the ball and shoot the jumper with good consistency, has nice shot technique. Very good range on his jumper and also can pull up and hit the mid range jumper. Defensively Jahvon is a shot blocking forward, quick to spots and quick off his feet. Not only does he have length in that 6’6 frame but he has a very good vertical jump. He plays very good position defense in the post and also has the discipline and quick feet to defend either wing on the perimeter. Look for big things from Jahvon John not only on the court but in the classroom where he is an International Baccalaureate student.
