6’0 ’27 Jakeis Vernon (All Carolina)
Although there are several college-level pieces on this roster, it feels like Vernon is someone who should warrant more attention from the masses. He’s a natural utility piece whose ability to do everything on the court makes him a very impactful two-way player. Vernon can initiate the offense, set up others, and find consistent scoring chances within the flow of the action. He’s efficient with his touches, but doesn’t need the ball to make his presence felt. Vernon is a tough, scrappy defender with a high motor and the ability to force turnovers at a healthy rate. Given his smart, steady game, it’s easy to see all the ways he contributes.
6’4 ’27 Aaron Slaney (Oviedo Magic)
Due to being the biggest guy on the roster, Slaney found himself operating as the main big man for this group. Although he’s probably more comfortable at the forward position, he found consistent success through his nonstop effort and ability to play bigger than his size on both ends of the floor. Slaney displays useful skill as a finisher, floor-spacer, and capable threat off the bounce. He moves well without the ball and provides quality energy on the glass to outwork opponents for extra possessions. Slaney defends with toughness and is comfortable switching onto smaller opponents as needed.
6’6 ’28 Mason Murphy (Midstate Magic)
Despite being one of the younger guys on this roster, it’s easy to see that Murphy continues to make strides as an overall prospect. He’s a strong, skilled wing with excellent size and the ability to cause matchup problems for opponents on both ends of the floor. Murphy’s handle and overall creation skills continue to progress, but he’s also capable of finding consistent production without needing the ball in his hands. He’s able to apply scoring pressure from all levels and mix it up based on what the defense is giving him. Murphy utilizes his size well to physically overwhelm smaller opponents and is more athletic than the majority of bigger defenders. Add in his rebounding sense and switchable defensive presence, and it’s easy to be intrigued.
6’7 ’27 Jalen Crayton (Team Stacked)
There are multiple intriguing prospects on this team, and that certainly includes Crayton and everything he provides as an interior piece. He’s a long, athletic post player with a high motor and strong nose for the ball. Crayton is a capable finisher who knows how to fight for offensive rebounds and run the floor in transition. However, so much of his value comes from his rim-protection ability. Crayton is a terrific shot-blocker who displays the right blend of timing, mobility, and physicality to alter or block seemingly every shot attempted inside. He embraces his strengths well and stands out as a very productive piece for this group.
