6’7 ’28 Nyshawn Hughes (Dudley)
Given all the ways he’s able to impact a game, it’s easy to see the intrigue surrounding a player like Hughes. He’s a long, fluid athlete with the size, skill, and versatility to be a matchup problem for opponents on both ends of the floor. Hughes has made steady strides as an all-around piece, and continues to progress as a creator, playmaker, and scoring option. He’s capable of knocking down open shots or putting pressure on the rim. Hughes excels in transition, but finds ways to make plays with or without the ball in the halfcourt. Add in his rebounding and switchable defensive presence, and the appeal is obvious. Hughes should continue to harness his upside this season.
6’6 ’30 Jayden Warren (Northeast Guilford)
In terms of overall potential, Warren is arguably as enticing as anyone in the gym. He’s an extremely long, wiry wing prospect who already possesses a ton of ability for a player of his size and age. Warren is a very fluid athlete with flashes of ball skills and scoring ability from various spots on the floor. It’s fascinating to watch him play, because it’s clear that so much of his current ability is based on sheer instinct. Warren is comfortable creating with the ball in his hands, but often finds opportunities within the flow of the action. Given his flashes in all areas of the game, he has all the tools to be a noteworthy prospect.
6’7 ’27 Sodienve Fubara (Cresset Christian)
Given his status as the main interior piece for this group, it feels like Fubara should play a vital role for the Eagles. He’s a big, strong-bodied post player who offers a nice blend of size, strength, and two-way ability. Fubara does a great job of finishing around the basket, positioning himself for drop-offs, offensive rebounds, and running the floor to find opportunities in transition. He utilizes his body really well to play through contact and outwork opponents on the glass. Fubara plays with toughness defensively and is capable of blocking/altering shots at a solid rate. He’s a college-level talent who should be a major addition to this group.
6’5 ’28 Greg Zigbuo (TW Andrews)
Although others on this roster might receive more attention, Zigbuo always seems to find ways to stand out. For starters, he plays with constant effort and naturally outworks opponents to make plays on both ends of the floor. Zigbuo is a strong rebounder with a quick second and third jump, and the ability to finish consistently around the basket. He defends multiple positions, both up and down a lineup, and possesses the necessary instincts and physicality to overwhelm various types of opponents. Offensively, he’s a very adaptable piece who reliably fills in the gaps and capitalizes on opportunities as needed. Zigbuo is the type of unselfish, team-oriented guy who wins games.
