6’6 ’27 Niley Richardson (Save Sports)
The Save Sports squad has steadily improved throughout the course of the summer season, and Richardson is a big reason why. He’s consistently made strides while finding production as a long, wiry, skilled forward with inside-out ability. Richardson displays nice feel and mobility, and understands how to make an impact without requiring the ball in his hands. He’s an active defender and two-way rebounder who competes well for extra possessions. Richardson runs the floor well in transition and is capable of filling the lane for finishes or trailing the break for open jumpers. Although he already makes an impact on both ends of the floor, it’s clear that he still has plenty of upside remaining.
6’4’ 27 Kamden Hack (Next Level Elite)
There are several intriguing, college-level prospects within this Next Level Elite roster, and that certainly includes Hack and everything he brings to the table. He’s a natural glue-guy who has the ability to impact the game in a variety of ways. Hack is a smart, steady, versatile two-way piece who can operate in various roles and find consistent production. He’s a knockdown shooter who can space the floor at a high percentage, move without the ball, and operate as a spot-up threat. That being said, Hack can also attack off the bounce, create clean looks for himself and others, and make quality decisions with the ball in his hands. He can mix it up as a scorer from all levels, but is at his best from beyond the arc. Add in his active rebounding and switchable defensive presence, and it’s easy to see his appeal.
6’6’ 27 Ford Stratton (Upward Stars Columbia)
Between his size, explosiveness, and perimeter shooting, Stratton is able to cause consistent problems for opponents. He possesses a terrific frame with length, strength, and fluidity, which allows him to comfortably match up with several types of opponents. Stratton consistently knocks down shots along the perimeter, attacks closeouts, and puts pressure on the rim. He’s a willing passer who is capable of locating open teammates when attacking. Stratton is an excellent transition threat who can fill the lane or get to his spots and knock down jumpers. He displays solid energy on the glass and is capable of overwhelming opponents to make plays defensively. Stratton still has considerable upside, but should already be a priority for various next-level programs.
6’7 ’27 Ben Reid (NC Spartans Patton)
It’s no secret that size and shooting will always be coveted by college coaches, and Reid certainly brings that to the table. Although he frequently stands out through his inside-out ability, there’s a lot to like about his overall game. Reid is a long, wiry forward with nice feel, mobility, and instincts on both ends of the floor. He’s a fluid athlete who displays consistent energy and toughness around the basket. Reid is a quality finisher who can play through contact or above the rim. He’s a great athlete, particularly for his size, who battles well on the glass to secure extra possessions. Reid blocks shots and forces turnovers at a solid rate, and runs the floor effectively in transition. That being said, so much of his value comes from being a reliable shooting threat along the perimeter. Reid should be a target for several programs.
