6’0 ’27 Ricco Daniels (All Carolina)
Given everything he does to assert himself as a leader for this group, there’s a lot to like about Daniels’ ability as a two-way floor general. He dictates the action with IQ, poise, and unselfishness, displaying a strong blend of vision, creation instincts, and a balanced scoring attack. Daniels is a reliable ball-handler with the pace and quickness to break down opponents, touch the paint, and make quality decisions with the ball in his hands. He consistently sets up others, but also finds ways to apply scoring pressure from all levels within the flow of the offense. Daniels reliably defends the point of attack, forces turnovers at a solid rate, and rebounds his position. He’ll be a definite target for coaches over the next few months.
6’4 ’27 Isaiah Daniels (SC Blazers)
There are a number of intriguing pieces on this roster for college coaches to pursue, and that certainly includes Daniels. He’s a long, fluid, explosive athlete with terrific physical tools and an enticing array of skills. Daniels creates well off the bounce to put consistent pressure on the rim, but can also knock down jumpers at a respectable rate along the perimeter. He’s a capable playmaker and willing passer who appears comfortable operating as a main creator for this group. Daniels thrives in transition, but frequently finds opportunities in the half court. He defends with physicality and rebounds his position well. Though already a scholarship-level piece, Daniels still has considerable upside remaining.
5’11 ’27 Christian Jones (Anthony Morrow Elite)
No matter how much the game changes, smart, polished scoring guards will always have value, which is why Jones should be an obvious target for college coaches. He’s a crafty, well-rounded guard who can fill it up in a variety of ways. Jones creates very well off the bounce, both for himself and others, and applies constant scoring pressure from all levels. He knocks down shots from distance, finishes well for his size at the basket, and displays a smooth midrange pull-up. Jones sees the floor well and is capable of making plays for others. He also defends with nice energy and toughness, and utilizes his quickness to keep opposing guards in front.
6’3 ‘27 Dakarai Thompson (Oviedo Elite)
The appeal should be pretty clear with a guy like Thompson, who shines in so many different ways for this group. He’s a long, athletic guard with excellent IQ, size, and two-way versatility. Thompson possesses a well-rounded skillset with the ability to reliably pass, handle, and score from all levels. He’s a terrific perimeter shooter who heats up quickly to knock down jumpers off the catch and bounce. However, Thompson also looks to attack whenever possible and finish through contact or above the rim. He sees the floor well to locate open teammates and make quality decisions with the ball. Thompson rebounds at a strong rate and guards up and down a lineup defensively. Whether operating within a role or expanding his production, Thompson should be a target for college coaches.
