North Carolina's 2021 Hidden Gem'

There has been talk about North Carolina’s class of 2021 being very deep with some known and unknown talent. I want to add in another player who is part of the unknown to most people in the state.

Unless you were one of the teams that played against Bethany Community School this past year, you may not know about a hidden gem by the name of Adam Vincent.

I came across Adam's name through an Instagram discussion about the 2021 basketball prospects with Anthony Bruton (@BucketReel).

Adam Vincent is a 6'3 shooting guard from Eden, NC and helped lead Bethany Community to a 25-4 record and the Division 2 State Championship.' He led the team in scoring by averaging 24.5 points per game and according to Max Preps he had the 2ndhighest scoring avg for freshmen in the state.

Bethany Community plays in the CAAS Carolina Athletic Association for Schools of Choice. After the season ended, Adam continued to play on his school's team in the 'summer for AAU. They only played in local tournaments but commented that he received 'no exposure at all' playing on this team.' 'This coming AAU season he will play with Team Cobras, a team located in Greensboro, NC. This will give him the opportunity to play in live events and better showcase his talent.

Adam was able to attend the team's workout last year and showed why he should be mentioned as one of the better players in NC. 'He is a very athletic kid and once he gets in transition has good end to end speed and can finish above the rim. He uses his basketball IQ and quick release to showcase his high level shooting consistent well past the 3 point line.

Adam recognizes he needs to improve his game by increasing his physical strength and working on better ball handling, eventually leading him to becoming the point guard that he envisions.

I believe sooner rather later, that Adam Vincent will be a name that people will be hearing about in the next couple of years in North Carolina. 'Did I mention that Adam is just 15 years old as of September 7th.
