Here’s a closer look at three North Carolina bigs who are seeing their stock rise on the recruiting trail.
2027 6’10 Mason Robinson
Robinson is one that we have said in the past should get more looks but we were also waiting for the continued development of his game. It seems to be taking place this summer, as the 6’10 strong forward from Greensboro Day has been opening eyes for college coaches. Sporting a college-ready frame and enticing size, Robinson continues to shine to be a force at the rim. He can be a double-double type big this season for Greensboro Day, being another strong force on both sides of the ball. Recently, Robinson has added offers from Wofford, Charlotte, and UNCG.
2027 6’10 Tyson Thompson
Talking about another big and physical big here in North Carolina, Thompson is another one that has been reeling in strong offers. Thompson has been a force throughout our time of watching him; there is no doubt about that. He brings an excellent build, is physical and strong down in the post, and can be a force on the glass, using all of his 6’10, 230-pound frame to his advantage. Thompson is showing more with his impact as a big man along with fluidity, as his game continues to grow. He has added offers from Boston and Toledo as of late, but more could be entering the picture.
2028 6’10 Hudson Hatch
Hatch could be a new name for some around the region but he should start earning the attention of more schools. Already earning offers from Charleston and Richmond as of late, Hatch possesses intriguing size and tools in making him a big with a strong skillset. He shows the ability to be a difference-maker down in the post/paint, alter shots defensively, and even stretch the floor as a 6’10 prospect. And he is just starting his story in what he could ultimately be, but it seems that schools are wasting time to jump on board.
