It’s a new year, and the process has come along quickly for Dutch Fork’s 6’4” Junior Jordan Davis. However, it is a process that he has expected since he was 7 years old.
Davis started out sharing the back court with Devontae Shuler with the SC Hornets when they were in elementary school. Two years ago Davis broke away and moved over to join the SC Kings program and, finally this past summer his recruitment took off.
As a Sophomore Davis averaged 17.7 points and 3 assists per game, yet he ended the season with no real college interest. Davis finished the AAU season with the SC Kings (and playing at the Phenom Havoc) and carrying offers from Cincinnati, East Carolina, VCU, South Alabama, and Presbyterian.
During our Phenom Summer Havoc Davis really opened some eyes with his soft touch, and high IQ from the wing. Davis’ instincts are what set him apart as he is a good passer, but has a natural feel for danger spots on the offensive end. He has very soft touch, and while he does take a lot of shots, for the most part they are all good looks.
Look for Davis to make a run at the Columbia area in scoring title this year.
