Thoughts on Commitment:

NC State is on the board for 2026 as Trevon Carter-Givens is the first commitment. Standing at 6’11, his length and upside brings a lot of intrigue in what he could ultimately be at the college level but there is still room for growth and getting stronger. He is an athletic big that moves well, runs the floor, and can get to the rim, showing touch and finishing capabilities at the rim. Carter-Givens has nice timing with putback finishes, stays active and engaged down in the paint, and brings a presence on both sides of the ball with his length. Offensively, he could be best as a lob threat and attacking the glass. But as he continues to develop, get stronger and add more weight, Carter-Givens could be a key piece for the Wolfpack in helping control the paint in the ACC.

What He Said about NC State:

“NC State has definitely been on me way more than any other school. What stands out is the energy, not only by the coaches, but by the players, and also how hard they work towards winning. Another thing that stands out is how close they are. It doesn’t feel like a team; it feels more like a family. One other thing that I’ve noticed is how successful Coach Wade is at winning and developing pro players.” – NC State Standing Out

“We talked about their program goals, player development, and how they could help me grow both on and off the court. The relationship we’ve built feels genuine. I can see they believe in me, and I respect the way they’ve been consistent and transparent throughout the process.” – Relationship with the staff
