The NC Spartans organization has been a staple here in North Carolina for grassroots basketball, as they have built something special overall as an organization. It is still early in the spring/summer season, but there have been a few players that have impressed early on this travel ball season. Here is a trio of 2026 prospects that have left an early mark so far.

2026 6’5 Ben Houpt

As a 6’5 prospect, Houpt is one who brings size and skill to the court. Houpt has been a consistent presence over the last year or so, and has continued to play well this spring/summer. He plays with a high IQ and overall feel, showing the ability to be crafty off the bounce, knock down shots off the catch, stretch the defense with his ability to hurt opponents from behind the arc, and his willingness to draw fouls and create contact. Houpt impacts the game in so many ways and plays well within the offense, not forcing anything and making quality decisions.

2026 6’4 Jack Siegel

The 6’4 guard has proven to be a strong weapon for his team over the years, especially with his ability to knock down shots and really open up the offense confidently. On several occasions, Siegel has shown the change the game with his ability to knock down threes, displaying tremendous mechanics and fluid release with his jumper. However, he brings a nice balance overall with his offensive capabilities, working well within the framework of the offense, moving well without the ball, and making good overall decisions.

2026 6’6 Andre Gyabaah

Gyabaah is a 6’6 prospect that brings a lot to the table with his game and impact. He quietly has been productive for his team, whether it is being an offensive presence, rebounding, and proving to be a versatile piece. He is a physical, skilled forward who has shown he is able to create a mismatch on the court, whether it is stepping out, operating inside, and using his frame to his advantage on both sides.
