Team 4: Kevin Carver
No. 105 5’6 ’21 Joshua Beadle (Columbia, SC)
Joshua was one of the top players in his class at the NC Junior Phenom Camp. He’s quite a talent for such a young player. He is blessed with outstanding quickness, athleticism, and advanced understanding of the game. Coach Carver stated, “Joshua is fascinating young talent. He’s a live wire on the court and is constantly getting his teammates involved. He can really dribble penetrate and can get to the basket with ease.” In addition, he was terrific in his on the ball defense.
No. 178 6’0 ’20 Jake Ledbetter (High Point, NC)
Jake was one of the more efficient shooters at the camp. He has excellent fundamentals and mechanics. He’s definitely a player to keep an eye out over the next four years. Coach Carver stated, “Jake is an excellent shooter. He makes solid cuts to the basket and understands how to get open. He’s a crafty ball handler and has a high IQ.” Overall, Jake has the ability to score from all three levels. He has an advanced game for his age/grade!
No. 163 5’11 ’20 Kaleb Brooks (Greensboro, NC)
Kaleb has good size and athletic ability. Coach Carver stated, “Kaleb is a solid catch and shoot player. He finds open space and is a really good rebounder when engaged.” Overall, Kaleb rebounds around the rim and is an adequate shooter out to 15 feet. The next step in his development is to improve his overall ball handling ability. He does have all the physical ingredients to become a very effective player.
No. 201 6’4 ’20 Bennett Smith (Charlotte, NC)
Bennett is blessed with excellent size and an advanced skill set. His game is simply beyond his years. Without question, Bennett can flat out hoop! He has all the ingredients, attributes, and intangibles to be a legit D1 prospect. Coach Carver stated, “Bennett is a great talent and has a solid basketball IQ. He’s a leader and encourages his teammates. He can get position inside and finish strong at the rim.”Overall, Bennett has the opportunity to become a very special talent.
